rock crusher vs power station

Jan 31, 2017 · One thing I think I have concluded - while the Rock Crusher may have redefined the industry standard for attenuators years ago, it appears to have been eclipsed by the PS II, on pretty much every single level (except, perhaps, for build quality - those RCs are built like tanks - not sure if the PS II is as robust - also, it's nice that the RC

aracom dag v. rivera rockcrusher v. fryette power station

Jul 31, 2015 · I find the RC and PS far superior to the powerscaling in the amp and also greatly prefer the Powerstation to the Rockcrusher. The Rivera dulled the tone a bit while the the Powerstation is both more transparent and allows for tone tweaking beyond the amp. THe Powerstation also has far more control over the volume and does not rely on steps

Jun 15, 2016 · The Power Station is another tube amp which means tubes can fail on you. Meanwhile the Rockcrusher are just Resistors, caps, and inductors, a passive device which can be more sturdier or reliable. On a band situation where you only have to remove a few watts off the amp, there really is no difference that can be heard or distinguished over a band mix

May 04, 2015 · I had an Alex attenuator with a reactive load and it sounded terrible as a load compared to my power station. Just to add, there is a huge difference between using a resistive load vs reactive load too. Reactive is much better in terms of feel and eq response,, though, I'll say the Two Notes VB-101 had some voodoo going on with it's resistive

Stages of Rock Crushing: Crushing Stations. It is common to use multiple crusher types within a project and set them up as stations in a circuit format to perform the necessary material reduction work. In many cases, primary, secondary, and tertiary, and quaternary stations are installed to reduce the rock to the desired size, shape, and

Cone crushers, a type of compression crusher, have less versatility than a horizontal impact crusher, but a great capability to guarantee a finished product size. If set at 2”, typically 80% of the final product will meet the 2” target which is not something that can be replicated by jaw crushers or impact crushers

Cut the Volume, Keep the Tube-amp Tone. Rivera's RockCrusher power attenuator and load box could be your gateway to epic tube-amp tonal bliss. The tone of a tube amp is directly related to the power of the signal it receives and how much amplification is added by the tubes themselves

Jan 29, 2017 · He swears by the Rock Crusher. Then again, he bought it a few years ago, pre-PS. From what I have uncovered, the PS will do a lot more than the RC (loop, power amp, etc), but I suspect that for the sole purpose of attenuation, one can't go wrong with either. I can get Rock Crushers new and used pretty easily, reasonably affordably

Feb 10, 2018 · Of the three I really liked the RockCrusher most in the home studio because it didn't need: Power Cable/Power & Preamp Tubes/Internal Fan and it sounded Great when recorded (w/mic's) or to reduce volume. The Power Station does have a lot more features and if you use a "Non-Master-Volume" amps for Gain/High-Gain it sounds pretty good!

Built into the RockCrusher is a reactive load network for proper speaker-amplifier interaction. Rather than a purely resistive load like many other power attenuators, the Rock Crusher ensures that the amplifier and speaker see each other in a proper relationship of impedance and inductive/capacitive reactance
